About

The following information is available for Christian Chapel CME:

Methodism is meant to be not only a set of systematic beliefs, but a way of life and a code for every day living. It covers every aspect of life including what we believe, what we do, what we read and how we think.

We believe that whatever is of interest and concern to the people; physical, intellectual, social, economic and political, should also be of interest and concern to the Church. Methodism is simply a method of doing things. We believe, out of one blood God make all the nations who dwell on the face of the earth, that Jesus is most uniquely His Son, that all men are brothers, and each person is of infinite worth, and a child of God. Thus, to exploit or dehumanize any person through pride or arrogance is throughly unbiblical and un-Christian. We believe that all things come from God, the earth and it's fullness, our own capacities and all we possess. We believe that all things should be held and used in joyous stewardship to Him to serve God in His redemptive purpose in the world. The Chruch then, must always be in the world (but not of the world), actively obeying God's purpose for it. As a redeemed and redeeming fellowship, the Church must seek to serve and save society. This redemption is a continuing necessity.

As you recall and piggy back on December 31st, 2012's message, allow the first day of the New Year to set the focus for your future. Consider these as priorities: 1. Set aside time to read the Word & Pray. 2. On the first day of the week set aside time to assemble with the saints and worship our Heavenly Father (go to church). 3. Spend time with your family. 4. Tell someone about Jesus and His love (witness). 5. Do all things to the glory of God.

Matthew 6:33 says: "But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you." To summarize this verse it says "first things first". To seek means ot actively pursue. Each day we are to actively pursue the Kingdom of God. To have a Kingdom, you must have a King & therefore to go after God, His Kingdom & His righteousness is our priority. This coming year of 2013, I challenge you to seek first God's Kingdom & His righteousness and watch God add all "these things", love, joy, peace, contentment, provisions, health & much more to your lives. Have a "Blessed and Happy New Year."

How much have you grown in 2012? The ruler is an instrument used to measure length. The thermometer is used to check or regulate temperature. The Bible is the Word of God which is the measuring rod of spiritual growth The apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:1-16 has much to say regarding our spiritual growth. Many who profess to be Christians have not comprehended what we find in Ephesians 4:13 which says: "Till we ALL come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a MATURE man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ." Many have fallen behind in spiritual growth by using the measuring ruler of the world. The proper measure of our spiritual condition is the quality of our lives, which is measured by the attributes of lowliness, gentleness, longsuffering as in Ephesians 4:2, "Bearing with one another in love". As in verse 2 is a good indication that we are moving toward God's goal for us: "The measure of the fullness of Christ in verse 18. Our spiritual maturity (growth) is measured by the quality of the attributes that others see in our lives produced in us by Christ. "Our love for God can be measured by our love for others."

As we approach the Christmas holiday with all of the hustle and bustle of shopping for gifts for family and friends, let us not lose sight of the main reason that we celebrate this joyous season, and that my friends is the good news of the coming of the Holy one, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ who came for the forgiveness of sins for all who except him that we may have life everlasting. So with that being said Lord, we your humble servants exclaim AMEN AND AMEN!!!!!!

1 Timothy 6:17 says: Command those who are rich in this present age not to trust uncertain riches but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 quoted by the apostle Paul is a statement of challenge to those who trust in riches ! Timothy 6:17 says: "command those who are rich in this present age not to trust uncerrtain riches but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy, Many times riches cloud one's mind among the followers of Christ in Ephesus, some had more money than others. The scripture of 1 Timothy 6:17 quoted by the apostle Paul is a statement of challenge to those who trust in riches, in V:18 Paul encourages them to do good works, ready to share with others. The natural tendency is to group what we have instead of freely giving to those in need. The challenge of having riches is living with thankful hearts to God and open hands to others.

Thought of the day! The manner of giving shows the character of the giver more than the gift itself.

I Know I Can! In Eph 3:20 it says: "God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." Maybe you think you can't do some things -and that is true. Do you remember the story of "The Little Engine That Could"? This determined little train climbed the steep hill by chanting, "I think I can. I think I can." As it gained more resolve it began to declare -"I know I can, I know I can." Too often we find ourselves depending too much on our own ability rather than on the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Paul reminds us in Phil 4:13 "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us." Because of God's power, we can do whatever He asks of us -through Him. So base your confidence in God's promise and not on your ability.

A personal relationship with the Lord is the only thing assuring one of salvation. Someone once said (Life is like a wild goose chase-without the goose). The search for a truly loving relationship can be like that. However, the Bible assures us that the creator of the universe cared so much for us that He came seeking after each one of us. We live in a world of despair, loneliness, and rejection. The Bible offers hope and encouragement. Because Jesus is who He claims to be, everything depends on our willingness to trust Him. Because Jesus is God in flesh, those who are apart from Him will never know real joy, meaning, or real peace in life. He seeks a personal relationship with us, He offers His invitation to everlasting life, forgiveness and peace. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life". (John 3:16) Do you have a personal relationship with Him?

An awesome song I just found, written by Mark Behrens & sung by Grace Weber. Inspired by his dying friend who praised God till the end.

We can gauge the condition of our hearts by the words we speak. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 (NKJV)

Ephesians 4:7-16 (Spiritual Gifts) But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.” (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Today is Election Day 2012, November 6th. A Tuesday. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 tells us: Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
